Recall on Children’s Tylenol and other drugs

Please be advised that Johnson & Johnson/McNeil Consumer Healthcare has voluntarily begun a recall of certain children’s over-the-counter liquid medicines because of manufacturing deficiencies. It is reported that “the deficiencies may affect the potency, purity or quality of the products” and that consumers should “Stop using certain lots of infants’ and children’s Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and Benadryl products.”

I have reviewed all the products stored at our Center and will send home any products identified in the recall. Please assess the NDC Code and UPC Code on products in your home as well. A complete list of recalled items (and refund information) is available at www.mcneilproductrecall.com.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
Liz, Village Babies R.N.
