Infant / Toddler

INFANT
6 weeks to 12 months

TODDLER
13 months to 2 ½ years old

Infants’ and toddlers’ day is greatly based on their physical and physiological basic needs, supporting measurable growth. Their development is supported by intentional language through songs and reading. Bonding, nurturing, and love support their individual social and emotional needs.

Exploration and interactions take place indoors and outdoors. Each classroom has a flexible schedule specific to that classroom’s day.

The first floor consists of five classrooms for our infants and toddlers. Although the children are within the same age ranges within any specific class, development also plays an essential role in which class a child is assigned to.

Preschool/Pre-K

Preschool
2.5 to 4 years old

Pre-kindergarten
4 to 5 years old
We continue to scaffold each individual child’s growth and development by introducing various concepts through teacher and child-led interests. The introduction of concepts, supported by an NJ State-certified curriculum, also incorporates best practices. We don’t practice rote or a “cookie-cutter” approach to learning. After introducing social, emotional, and educational concepts, the teachers will develop plans and evaluate whether children master the concepts. Individualized meetings, such as in “Back to School Night” sessions, will allow parents to review their child’s progression. The children are learning through indoor, outdoor, and off-site activities.

Math, arts, science, technology, and self-regulation are the foundations from which learning stems from. We offer enrichment such as soccer, music, and gym classes in partnership with outside vendors. Most enrichments are provided on a sign-on basis.

Summer Program

We want our graduating pre-kindergarten children to enroll in our summer program in July-August. We offer a variety of enrichments and on and off-site field trips. The program’s fostering of peer relationships and preparation for school-age programs are essential aspects.
